About Steve

Steve's route into home lending started when his family moved from Europe to the United States. He watched his parents work through buying a home in a country whose lending system they did not yet understand, and that is where his interest in the process began — and where the wish to make it easier for other people came from.

He works with first-time buyers, investors and self-employed borrowers, and he tailors the structure to the borrower rather than the other way round. He answers every question and keeps clients informed at each stage, because a confident borrower makes better decisions than an anxious one.

Years of originating and of training other loan officers gave him a close view of where borrowers actually struggle and how much difference a good guide makes. He is still building on that, and he is direct about what a loan will and will not do.

Every mortgage loan originator in the United States carries their own NMLS number, and so does the company they work for. Both are public, and both are listed on this page. Looking someone up takes under a minute and it is the single best habit a borrower can have — with us, and with anyone else you are talking to.

Company: CME Lending Group LLC, doing business as The Mortgage Exchange, NMLS #1248883. In Indiana, The Mortgage Exchange, LLC. Verify the company at NMLS Consumer Access, or see our full licensing table.

No rates, payments or quotes appear on this page, and that is deliberate. Anything you are told about a rate or a payment should come to you in writing on a Loan Estimate after you apply — not from a marketing page. If you want real numbers for your situation, that is exactly the conversation to have with the officer above.
