About Stacey

Stacey has been writing mortgages since 2013 and has been in financial services since 2000. Before mortgages she was a financial advisor with Prudential Financial and manager of financial services for Western and Southern.

She is licensed in Indiana and Florida. Her primary focus is Porter, Lake and LaPorte counties in Indiana, and southwest Florida including Lee, Hillsborough and Collier counties.

The loans she gravitates toward are VA, conventional, the physician loan program, and first-time buyers. Her real specialty is the one-off file, the borrower who needs a bank statement program or something outside the standard box, where the work is researching the available programs until she finds the one that actually fits.

The question she hears most is why she asks for so many documents before issuing a pre-approval. Her answer is that a pre-approval based on verified documents is worth something and one based on what a borrower typed into an application is not. It makes the offer stronger and it keeps surprises out of underwriting.

Stacey is from Valparaiso, Indiana and also lives in Fort Myers, Florida. She boats, spends time at the beach, travels, and is usually with her grandkids, family and friends. She is at the closing table for her borrowers, and she treats communication and accessibility as part of the job rather than a courtesy.

Check this officer before you call

Every mortgage loan originator in the United States carries their own NMLS number, and so does the company they work for. Both are public, and both are listed on this page. Looking someone up takes under a minute and it is the single best habit a borrower can have — with us, and with anyone else you are talking to.

Company: CME Lending Group LLC, doing business as The Mortgage Exchange, NMLS #1248883. In Indiana, The Mortgage Exchange, LLC. Verify the company at NMLS Consumer Access, or see our full licensing table.

No rates, payments or quotes appear on this page, and that is deliberate. Anything you are told about a rate or a payment should come to you in writing on a Loan Estimate after you apply — not from a marketing page. If you want real numbers for your situation, that is exactly the conversation to have with the officer above.
